Kivitasku’s Haiku Sauna is a unique sauna experience located by Lake Kalajärvi in Muurame. Built directly on a rock, the sauna is constructed from sturdy aspen logs sourced from nearby forests. Each log has been hand-carved and carefully fitted into place, respecting traditional craftsmanship.
The Haiku Sauna combines the soft aroma of a smoke sauna with the efficiency of a single-heated sauna. The result is gentle, deep, and oxygen-rich steam that relaxes both body and mind.
The sauna accommodates larger groups, with seating for over 20 bathers at once. Connected to the sauna is a spacious, covered terrace where guests can cool off and enjoy the peace of nature all year round. The terrace also features an eight-person hot tub, offering the perfect place to unwind between sauna sessions.
The hot tub is available as an additional service and is especially popular for longer bookings. For the more adventurous, a refreshing dip in Lake Kalajärvi is possible both in summer and winter.
